Where can the parties be held?

Either at home or in a local hall.

How much space do you need?

It depends on how many children are at the party but they’ll need enough space to be able move freely without bumping into anything. In better weather we can even dance in the garden!

Do you cover my area?

Yes, we are Nationwide. There are a few places we don’t cover yet so please don’t be upset with us if we don’t have a choreographer in your area. Please get in touch with us and we can tell you if we have a choreographer near you.

Who are your choreographers?

Dance Star choreographers are fully trained dancers / teachers, having been trained at the finest dance schools in the country. They have years of experience teaching children in all styles of dance. In addition many have worked on leading west end shows and major TV programmes.

Are the choreographers CRB checked?

The majority of our teachers are CRB checked however as a self employed entertainer a CRB check is not a compulsory requirement and so we don’t insist our choreographers are CRB checked as they are all qualified dance instructors with years of teaching experience.

What age group are the parties suitable for?

The parties are suitable for children from 7 years upwards. They can be adapted for those with no dance experience or for the more experienced dancer. Ideally it’s best not to mix the age groups too much.

Do you choreograph to a particular piece of music? Or a certain style of dance?

We can choreograph to anything you like! If your child has a favourite song they would like to dance to we can choreograph to that. Generally we teach Jazz / Street Jazz which the kids love. But if they would like to learn a completely different style of dance we can do that as well!

Should the children wear anything special?

The children need to wear something comfortable that they can move easily in. Some kids like to dress up for the occasion which is great.

What do you bring with you?

A stereo, expertise and enthusiasm!!

Do you supply the music?

If you have requested a particular song we are happy to supply it if we have it in our collection, otherwise we ask you to supply the music. If there is no particular song requested we can then supply music for the party.

How long are the Dance Star party sessions?

We recommend the parties run between 1-1 ½ hours as we have found this is quite long enough for the children. We are happy to discuss any party requirements with you as the dance party can be tailored to your child.

What type of costumes should the children wear if we decide on party option 2?

The kids love dressing up into ‘costume’ for the routine but it really doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Simple accessories are usually sufficient e.g belts / legwarmers / hats etc.

Is there a minimum amount of children that can come along to the party?

We don’t have a minimum amount of children that can attend the party but we do have a basic minimum £70 fee for parties with less than 10 children (option 1) or a basic minimum £95 fee for parties with less than 10 children (option 2) Please contact us for more prices.

Is there a maximum amount of children that can come along to the party?

No, as long as there is plenty of space to fit everyone in

Do you provide party bags?

We don’t supply party bags as the emphasis of our parties is on the fun of learning a professionally choreographed routine with their most favourite friends. The children take away with them some fabulous funky moves which the kids are known to have carried on practicing in the playground for months to come!!!!
